Behind the Design

Debonair, warm and welcoming. A strong double volume central axis defines and orients the flow of key interior spaces, splitting the facade neatly into two halves that together, tell one beautiful design story. Fostering a strong sense of togetherness with the surrounding nature, a carve through the apex welcomes natural light and blue skies into the structure’s core. The rear elevation is characterized by its transparency, expansive glazing ushers in the panoramic views of the Rocky Mountains this magnificent site has to offer. An abundance of sunlight floods the interior during daylight hours, and in the evening, warm internal light allows the home to glow warmly against the mountain and forested setting. The handsome exterior palette of natural materials is contrasted with the industrial flavour of bold steel accents, bringing modern edge to the design’s expression.  Refined yet raw, this residence redefines mountain living with its irresistible complexity and hypnotic depth.
